What is a clone?

A clone is a cutting taken from a healthy mother plant and rooted to create a genetically identical plant.

Because clones share the exact DNA of their mother, they produce consistent growth patterns, structure, and results.

This allows growers to cultivate uniform crops with predictable performance.

How do seeds differ from clones?

Seed-grown plants begin with immature genetics and must reach sexual maturity before flowering.

Clones are taken from mature plants. This means they are already sexually mature and can begin flowering as soon as light cycles change.

Key differences:

• Clones flower immediately under 12:12
• Uniform structure across batches
• No phenotypic variation
• Predictable growth and harvest timing

Yield and quality are determined by genetics and environment, not whether a plant began as a seed or clone.

Benefits of growing from clone

Growing from clones offers:

• Faster start
• Uniform height and structure
• Consistent nutrient requirements
• Synchronized harvest timing
• Predictable final product

Cloning removes genetic variability, giving growers greater control and efficiency.
