Follow these steps for best results

⚠️ BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE CLONES

  • Carefully open your box

  • Remove all wooden skewers first

  • Then gently release each clone from the packaging
Do NOT pull clones out before removing skewers.
This can damage stems and affect recovery

Why Your Clones Travel in the Dark

Your clones were shipped in darkness on purpose:

  • Reduces stress during transport

  • Prevents heat buildup inside the box

  • Minimises dehydration

  • Standard practice used by professional nurseries

Important:
Short periods of darkness will NOT cause flowering

What To Do Immediately (First 30 Minutes)

  • Unbox your clones as soon as possible

  • Inspect them for any transport stress

  • Transplant (See Transplant section below)

  • Place them under soft, indirect light

  • Allow them to settle

Avoid strong light immediately after unpacking

Lighting (Critical for Recovery)

  • Start with low to moderate light for 24–48 hours

  • Avoid strong LEDs or direct sunlight at first

  • Gradually increase light intensity after recovery

Recommended light cycle:
18–24 hours of light per day

Humidity & Temperature

  • Humidity: 65–75% (first 2–3 days)

  • Temperature: 20–26°C

  • Avoid strong airflow directly onto clones

Tip:
Light misting or a humidity dome can help recovery

Watering

  • Keep the growing medium slightly moist

  • Do NOT overwater

  • Ensure proper drainage

Overwatering is the most common mistake

Transplanting (Do This As Soon As Possible)

  • Transplant clones into growing medium as soon as possible after unpacking

  • Use a small pot or starter container first (recommended)

  • Ensure the medium is lightly moist before planting

Why this matters:

Getting roots into medium quickly improves stability, hydration, and recovery

Best Practice

  • Start in small pots before moving to large pots or greenhouse beds

  • This allows better root development and reduces transplant shock later

Important

  • Do not leave clones sitting in packaging for extended periods

  • Avoid going straight into oversized pots or final positions immediately

What’s Normal After Shipping

You may notice:

  • Slight drooping

  • Minor leaf yellowing

  • Soft stems

These are normal and usually recover within 24–72 hours
